I started painting furniture out of necessity. As a poor college student, my first "bedroom set" was a $200 MCM suite from a 2nd hand furniture shop in Donora, Pennsylvania. It needed some love, and although I've moved on from painting anything MCM, I was hooked on transforming pieces.
Nine years, seven desk jobs, a husband and baby later, I started Vintage In Bloom as a means to "rescue" and rehome painted pieces, as well as all things antique, vintage, rusty, industrial. I find inspiration in the things other people forgot and give them new life. I have an eye for cool things and an alarm clock I don't need to make sure I am in line at the best sales every weekend.
In late 2016, I took over Stone House Vintage Market and gave Vintage In Bloom a new home. I'm growing, which involves a lot of learning and a bit of re-shuffling and re-branding. My vision is for Vintage In Bloom is to give my customers access to everything they need to transform their houses into homes; including old and new home decor pieces, painted furniture, and the courage & confidence to become painters/creators themselves.
